What a week. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Australian Performance Boxes stand at Henty Machinery Field Days. From early starts to late arvos talking fit-outs, the energy never dipped—and neither did the interest in storage for work, dogs and touring. Henty has a way of bringing the right people together: farmers, contractors, sparkies, builders, weekend tourers and plenty of curious onlookers who just appreciate good kit.

What made Henty special for us

  • Hands-on time with real gear. Photos are good; slammed gullwing doors and solid latches are better. Visitors were able to feel, see, and test the locking hardware for themselves.
  • On-the-spot solutions. Many of you brought measurements, vehicle specs and a wish list. That meant we could match products to problems quickly—dog transport, secure tool storage, and touring layouts that actually work.
  • Same-day outcomes. In a few cases we were able to arrange delivery on the spot, getting canopies and boxes onto vehicles safely so customers could get straight back to work.

What you were most interested in

  • Dog boxes for working dogs. Ventilation, security and ease of cleaning were the big themes.
  • Toolboxes and gullwing canopies. Trades and farm crews wanted fast side access, dust sealing and locks that stand up to daily abuse.
  • UTV trays and dog box combos. With more side-by-sides on properties every year, UTV-specific gear that fits right the first time was a winner. Our new UTV Tray Sides range also sparked plenty of conversations about containment versus fast access.

Real-world questions we answered all week

  • Aluminium or steel? For most work and touring setups, aluminium gives the best balance of strength, corrosion resistance and payload.
  • Can I organise it my way? Absolutely. We focus on modular layouts. Drawers, shelves, and fridge slides so you can put the frequently used items at the door and leave bulkier spares deeper inside. The idea is simple: no crawling in on your knees to find a socket set.
  • Do you do custom? We don’t do one-off custom builds, but our range is broad and modular so you can achieve a tailored result without the delay and cost of a fully custom project.

Couldn’t make it to Henty? Here’s how to get what you need now

  • Browse the range online: Sizes, finishes and specifications are listed at apboxes.com.au.
  • Ask questions: Message us with your vehicle details, tray dimensions and priorities. We’ll help you match the right product to your work.
  • Order with confidence: We ship Australia-wide and can advise on fitment considerations and layout options that keep the day moving smoothly.

Events like Henty only work because people turn up ready to talk honestly about what does and doesn’t work on the job. We appreciate every question, every suggestion and every story—from harvest chaos to long trips on back roads. Your feedback guides what we build and how we build it.

Next stop: Deni Ute Muster

We’re rolling straight from Henty to the Deni Ute Muster to wrap up our event calendar for the year. If you missed us last week, head to Deni to check out the gear in person, talk through your setup, and take advantage of show-only deals. It’s your last chance this year to get hands-on with our dog boxes, toolboxes, canopies, UTV trays and accessories before the holiday rush.

Henty reminded us how valuable it is to meet customers where they work and live. We’ll be back on the road with a bigger event schedule next year—more agricultural shows, more field days, and more opportunities to put gear in your hands so you can make decisions with confidence. Keep an eye on our socials and website for the 2026 calendar as dates are locked in.

Tips for planning your build after the show

  • Measure first. Tray length and width, headboard height, and any protrusions (towing gear, fuel fillers, antennas) help us get your fit right.
  • Make a priority list. Decide what must live at the door (daily tools, recovery gear, first aid) vs. what can sit deeper inside (spares, seasonal items).
  • Think about payload and balance. Lighter is often better, especially on country roads.
  • Plan your power. If you’re running fridges, radios, lights or chargers, map out a clean, serviceable battery and wiring layout.

Henty Machinery Field Days delivered exactly what it promises: real solutions for real work. If you saw something you liked and you’re ready to move, let us know—we’ll help you lock it in. If you couldn’t make it, we’ll see you at Deni Ute Muster to cap off the year.

From the dog run to the jobsite and every track in between, APBOXES is here to help you build a setup that works as hard as you do. Stay tuned for next year’s event calendar—and we’ll see you back at Henty in 2026.
