Returns Policy

1. Policy Outline

This policy outlines the terms under which customers may request a return or exchange for products purchased from Australian Performance Boxes (APB).

It ensures transparency, fairness, and compliance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).


2. Return & Exchange Timeframe

All return or exchange requests must be made within 14 days of the original purchase date.

Requests received after this period will not be accepted unless required by law under the ACL.


3. Eligibility for Return or Exchange

To be eligible for a return or exchange:

  • The item must be unused, unfitted, and in its original packaging.

  • The product must be in resalable condition — free from marks, scratches, or signs of use.

  • Proof of purchase (tax invoice or order confirmation) must be provided.

 

We do not accept returns for:

  • Products that have been opened, fitted, installed, used, loaded, strapped, or bolted to a vehicle or trailer.

  • Products that are not in their original packaging.

  • Custom, modified, or clearance items (unless faulty under the ACL).


4. Approval Process

All returns must be approved in writing by APB prior to being sent back.

Unauthorised returns will not be accepted.

Customers must contact APB at info@apboxes.com.au or by phone to obtain a return authorisation.

If return freight is required, the customer is responsible for all shipping and freight costs unless otherwise agreed.


5. Restocking Fee

All approved returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee, which will be deducted from any refund or credit issued.

This fee covers handling, inspection, and administrative costs associated with the return.


6. Freight & Shipping Responsibilities

 

  • Customers are responsible for packaging returned products securely to prevent damage in transit.

  • Freight and insurance costs for returned goods are at the customer’s expense unless otherwise agreed by APB.

  • APB accepts no responsibility for loss or damage during return transport.


7. Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

 

This policy operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Under the ACL, you are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This policy does not exclude, restrict, or modify any rights or remedies that you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other applicable legislation.

Shipping Policy

When purchasing any products from Australian Performance Industries Pty Ltd, you will be deemed to agree to the Terms and Conditions as listed on the website & in store. Please read the Terms and Conditions carefully before proceeding your order as these terms and conditions will govern your purchase.  Any personal information provided to Australian Performance Industries Pty Ltd will be kept confidential and used for the purposes of your purchase only.
 
Australian Performance Industries Pty Ltd ships all goods in working order & is not liable for any damage to persons and/or equipment concerned due to misuse of products. Upon collection of freight do not leave packaged outside exposed to the weather as doing so may result in blemishing products to which Australian Performance Industries Pty Ltd will hold no liability. Should you need to leave outside simply remove the protective packaging.

Any damages to freight must be reported to head office within 24hrs of Receiving Goods. Failure to do so will result in an inability to claim compensation through freight lines. Please email: freight@apboxes.com.au

Discrepancies with a received order must be reported to head office with 48hrs of delivery. Please contact: info@apboxes.com.au 

Please Note a Rural Property is Classed by freighters as a Residential Delivery and will not be applicable to Business / Commercial Delivery Rates.

We are unable to Ship to PO Boxes. Any Orders listed with a PO Box will be Freighted to your nearest depot.
Returns Prior to Shipping
Any order processed through the website and canceled prior to shipping or collection will incur a 10% processing fee. 
 
Listing Errors

Australian Performance Industries Pty Ltd uses all reasonable avenues to ensure that all information on our website and in store is accurate and correct. In the unlikely event that an incorrect price is given in relation to any product on this site due to a clerical, typographical or pricing error, Australian Performance Industries Pty Ltd reserves the right to refuse to accept any order or cancel any contract to supply such product regardless of if the order has been confirmed and the payment has processed. If a payment has been processed and a refund is deemed applicable Australian Performance Industries Pty Ltd will issue a refund for the processed amount within 5 business days.
 
Dispatch
Goods will only be dispatched once full payment has been received and funds have been cleared – this may take up to four days pending your institution. Dispatch of goods is usually within 4-7 working days of payment received. Please Note this can be longer during Sale Periods.  Delivery of goods to the purchaser is expected within 3-14 working days of dispatch. Australian Performance Industries Pty Ltd is not accountable or liable for the loss or damage of these products or property due to transport and or delivery unless covered by Transit Insurance which needs to be selected and purchased by the customer.

Authority To Leave 
Australian Performance Industries Pty Ltd is not liable of any loss of orders with Authority to Leave if proof of delivery is supplied by courier. This proof of delivery is applicable with or without customers signature.
