What are APB aluminium toolboxes made from?

Will these toolboxes fit my ute?

Fitment depends on your tray size and setup. Each toolbox is built to standard dimensions (e.g. 1200mm, 1400mm, 1800mm, 2100mm lengths), but we always recommend measuring your ute tray before ordering. If you’re unsure, our team can help confirm compatibility.

What’s the difference between gullwing and drawer toolboxes?

A gullwing toolbox opens from the side with a lift-up lid, giving you full access to the internal space. Drawer models include built-in sliding drawers for organised storage, ideal if you need quick access to smaller tools or parts without unpacking everything.

Are the toolboxes weather-resistant?

Yes. APB aluminium toolboxes come with full rubber seals, compression locks, and gas-strut assisted doors to help keep out dust and water. They’re designed for harsh Australian conditions, including work sites, long drives, and off-road use.

Can I lock the toolbox?

Yes. All APB aluminium toolboxes include stainless steel whale tail compression locks, which are lockable and built for security on-site or when parked up overnight.

Can I customise the internal layout?

Yes, depending on the model. You can choose between:

Empty internal space
Drawer configurations (3 or 5 drawer setups)
Optional shelving depending on the range

This allows you to set up your toolbox based on how you actually work day-to-day.

Are these toolboxes suitable for heavy trade use?

Do the toolboxes require maintenance?

Minimal maintenance is required. We recommend occasional cleaning, checking seals, and ensuring locks and gas struts remain in good working condition. The aluminium construction is naturally corrosion-resistant.

Most customers install them themselves. However, if you’re not confident, a professional fitter can install it quickly and securely. Always ensure the unit is properly anchored before use.
